Richmond Baseball Hosts Old Dominion On Tuesday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Spiders baseball team will host in-state rival Old Dominion at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Pitt Field.

Scouting the Spiders
The Richmond Spiders come in to Tuesday's game with the Monarchs with a 0-6 record on the season, having dropped a tough three-game series to Seton Hall at Pitt Field this past weekend.
Sophomore 1B Doug Kraeger has led the way offensively for the Spiders, hitting a team-best .391 with three doubles, a home run and three RBI. Classmate 3B Matt Dacey made quite the first impression on this past Saturday, hitting a homer in his first game for Richmond.
The bullpen has been a strength early on for Richmond, with standouts including sophomore RHP Peter Bayer, junior RHP Ray Harron and junior Zach Grossfeld. Junior RHP Ryan Cook leads the team with 10 strikeouts in 7.1 innings pitched.
Scouting the Monarchs
The Old Dominion Monarchs come to Richmond with an overall record of 5-3 on the young season. After a 0-2 start, ODU has won five of their last six games with impressive wins over Liberty, VCU and Saint Joseph's.
