03/02/2014 | Men's Basketball
Tonight's Spider Sportsline with Coach Chris Mooney at Flinn's Restaurant, has been cancelled due to the winter storm.
The show will return next Monday, March 10, with senior Cedrick Lindsay scheduled to be the special player guest. Lindsay will be honored on Senior Night Thursday when the Spiders play their final regular season home game, hosting VCU at 9 p.m. in the Bank of America Classic.
The popular, live radio show, featuring Coach Mooney, host Bob Black, and their special guests, can be heard on ESPN 950, SPORTS FM 100.5, RichmondSpiders.com and on the free Spider Mobile App available on iPad, iPhone and Android. A video archive of the show will be posted on RichmondSpiders.com Tuesday for free, on-demand viewing.
Fans, alums and corporate partners are encouraged to attend, enjoy Flinn's food and beverage menu, and talk Spider and college basketball. Listeners can call-in during the program at 804-345-0950 or 233-7680. Emails can be sent anytime to spidersportsline@richmond.edu and will be read on-the-air.
Lindsay is 22nd on UR's all-time scoring list (1,276), 7th on the assists list (355) and 11th on the steals list (129). He was averaging 18.3 points per game this season, still among the A-10's best, when he suffered two knee injuries which ended his season and Spider career after playing in 121 games, starting 84.
Flinn's Restaurant, offering affordable dining in a family-friendly atmosphere, is the home of the Spider Sportsline throughout the basketball season. On Monday nights, Flinn's offers its Spider Sportsline Special – baked spaghetti with salad – for just $6. Flinn's is open seven days a week, including brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
The Spider Sportsline with Coach Chris Mooney will air live from Flinn's, 403 N. Ridge Road in the Tuckahoe Shopping Center, every Monday from 5:30-6:30pm for the remainder of the college basketball season.
