Men's Golf Finishes 15th At Irish Creek Collegiate

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – The Richmond men's golf team finished 15th at the Irish Creek Collegiate, played Saturday and Sunday at The Club at Irish Creek.
The Spiders shot 297-302-300 for an 899 on the par-71, 7,099-yard course.
Richmond senior Jack Wilkes and sophomore David Germann tied for 41st at 11-over 224 to lead the Spiders.
Germann shot a 1-over 72 in the opening round and a 76 in each of the final two rounds. Wilkes shot a 3-over 74 and 2-over 73, followed by a 77 on Sunday.
Junior Colin McDade tied for 52nd at 12-over 225 (77-75-73) and freshman Mark Reilly tied for 65th at 228 (76-78-74). Junior Danny Pizetoski tied for 81st at 232 (75-78-79).
The Spiders return to action on April 11 and 12 at the River Landing Intercollegiate in Wallace, N.C., their final tournament before the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championship. Richmond will play the Black & Blue Club match with VCU on April 20 at Kinloch Golf Club.
