Men's Golf Finishes 10th At Golfweek Challenge

BURLINGTON, Iowa – The Richmond men's golf team finished 10th at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Burlington, Iowa.
The Spiders were paced by veteran experience and youthful talent as senior Danny Pizetoski and freshman Matthew Lowe tied for 21st overall with identical scores of 222 (+6).
Lowe vaulted seven spots from his round two position with a final round at an even-par 72. He was one of just 14 players to shoot at par or under on the final day of competition.
Keegan Hoff shot a 75 (+3) in his final round to finish at 231 (+15) and place 47th overall. David Germann shot a 79 (+7) on Tuesday to finish at 234 (+18) for the tournament. Freshman Jimmy Davis was just two strokes behind Germann for fifth on the squad.
Fans will have a chance to watch the Spiders next week as UR competes in the VCU Shootout at the Hermitage Country Club in Manakin-Sabot, Va.
