UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, N.C. - Richmond has a quick turnaround for a Sunday afternoon matchup against the visiting Bonnies of St. Bonaventure. Sunday's game will begin at 3 p.m. and be aired on CBS 6.3 in the Richmond area.
The Spiders (8-7, 1-1) are coming off an impressive 75-65 win on Thursday night at home, while St. Bonaventure (8-5, 1-1) suffered a 17-point setback to Dayton at home.
On Thursday night, four Spider players reached double figures led by Terry Allen's season-high 20 points as Richmond snapped its three-game skid against George Mason. Richmond picked up its seventh home win of the season and the first victory in A-10 play.
UR shot 68.0 percent from the field in the first stanza, including a blistering 6-of-9 from three-point land. Richmond's aggressiveness then contributed to an 18-of-20 performance from the foul line in the second half to hold the Spider lead. Terry Allen scored a season-high 20 points with four rebounds, three assists, one block and a steal in the win. The Atlantic 10's third-best free throw shooter proved his mettle at the line, hitting 7-of-8 free throws.
Sunday's game will air on CBS 6.3 locally, which can be found on Comcast Ch. 206 and Verizon FiOS Ch. 466. Bob Black and Greg Beckwith will be on the call. Fans can also watch online on the A-10 Network, produced by SpiderTV. The game will be on the radio on ESPN 950 AM and 93.1 HANK FM with Robert Fish and Matt Smith calling the action. Sirius channel 92 and XM radio channel 201 will pick up the radio broadcast. The audio will be streamed for free on RichmondSpiders.com.

Opening Tip
Richmond rebounded from a three-game skid with a big 10-point win over George Mason, shooting 68 percent from the field in the first half.
The Spiders are now 7-2 at home, with the two losses coming by a combined three points.
Kendall Anthony moved into third place all-time in career threes, and is now just five treys away from tying the school record.
Richmond has taken great care of the ball, averaging just 5.6 turnovers over the last three games. The Spiders rank fourth in the country for fewest turnovers (9.5).
UR hit 18-20 FTs in the second half vs. Mason, including 12-12 in the final five minutes.
Scouting St. BonaventureSt. Bonaventure opened A-10 play with a convincing 14-point road win at UMass, but then fell 78-61 at home against Dayton.
The Bonnies rank 11th in the conference in FG shooting (42.9), but make up for it with their fourth-ranked FG defense (41.4) and rebounding margin (+5.3).
Marcus Posley leads the conference with his 17.5 points per game, while Youssou Ndoye ranks second in the league in rebounding (11.3).
Series vs. St. Bonaventure
Richmond leads the all-time series with St. Bonaventure, 14-5. The teams split their A-10 home-and-homes last year with the Bonnies winning, 84-70, in Olean, and the Spiders returning the favor, 64-62, in Richmond. The Spiders are 7-2 at home against St. Bonaventure, including victories in the last three.
Protecting The Rock
Richmond has been very protective of the ball this season with a stellar backcourt and skilled frontcourt that rarely turns it over. Richmond currently leads the A-10 and ranks fourth in the country for fewest turnovers with 9.5 per game.
The Spiders only committed four turnovers against Northeastern, the best mark since 3/14/13 when Richmond had a three-turnover game against Charlotte. Richmond followed that up with just five turnovers at Davidson and eight against George Mason.
Free Throws Coming In Hot
Richmond went 20-23 from the line, including 12-12 in the final five minutes, in the win over George Mason on 1/8. The Spiders now rank fifth in the A-10 with a team FT percentage of 69.2.
Junior Terry Allen ranks third in the conference with his 84.4 mark, the best of any forward in the A-10. Kendall Anthony is right behind him at 79.2, while Alonzo Nelson-Ododa ranks seventh with his 78.9 mark.
Richmond is the only A-10 school with three players ranked in the top 10 in the league in free throw shooting.
If the season ended today, Allen would rank seventh all-time at UR for FT percentage in a season.
Paint Power
Richmond's inside scoring has been very strong this season, with guards and forwards alike finding space to score near the basket.
Richmond is shooting 54.6 percent from inside the three-point line and averaging 26.9 points in the paint per game. The Spiders have won or been tied in that category in 11 of 15 games so far.
Strength At Home
The Spiders are 7-2 at home this year with some outstanding defense in those games. Richmond has held opponents to just 41.5 FG shooting and 56.1 points per game at the Robins Center.
Conversely, Richmond has shot 47.0 percent from the field at home with a 13.6-9.8 advantage in assists per game and a +5.0 turnover margin.
Spreading the Wealth
The Spiders moved the ball around for a season-high 18 assists against High Point, including five from Trey Davis and four from ShawnDre' Jones. UR followed that up with a 17-assist effort against N.C. State, including a career-high six from Jones. UR has only played one game with single-digit assists. Seven different players have 10 or more assists for UR this season.
Richmond's assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.3 currently ranks fourth in the A-10.
No Freebies For You
Richmond currently ranks 34th in the nation for fewest fouls per game with 15.8. Only three Richmond players have fouled out this season. Opponents are averaging just 14.1 free throw attempts per game.
Record Book Watch
Kendall Anthony is closing in on Richmond's all-time three point record. The senior is currently in third place with 236 career threes, but is only one behind David Gonzalvez and five behind record-holder Jonathan Baker.
Senior Kendall Anthony recently joined the 1,500-point club and now stands at ninth all-time with 1,570 career points. If Anthony duplicates his scoring total from last season, he would finish fourth all-time at Richmond. The school record-holder is Johnny Newman with 2,383 career points.
Anthony is also fifth in career FT and sixth in 3PT shooting percentage, respectively.
Junior Alonzo Nelson-Ododa has the school's all-time block record in his sights with two years of eligibility remaining. He recently moved into third with 167 blocks. Darrius Garrett holds the all-time record with 231 blocks.
