Cross Country finishes 14th and 21st in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Richmond Men's and Women's Cross Country teams finished 21st and 14th respectively on the E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park course at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday, October 3rd.
The Richmond women finished in 14th out of 30 teams with a total of 382 points in the 5K race. The first Spider to cross the finish line was senior Tara Hanley, who finished in 47th with a time of 17:46.73. Finishing right behind Hanley was sophomore Amanda Corbosiero, who placed 50th with a time of 17:47.51.
The Spider men were lead by senior Justin Keefe, who finished in 85th in the race with a time of 25:22.88. The men finished in 21st out of 24 teams with a total of 592 points.
In the men's 8K, Iona finished in first with 51 points with Michigan in second with 67 points and the host Louisville in third place with 82 points.
In the women's 5K, Michigan finished in first place with 42 points, in second was Iowa State with 77 points and in third was Penn State finishing with 112 points.
