MIAMI, Fla. - The University of Richmond women's basketball team (5-0) completed a perfect four-game home stretch to begin the 2015-16 season and now looks to complete a sweep of the FIU Turkey Slam. The Spiders knocked off Wichita State on Friday, 63-50, and will look to claim a championship opposite Marquette on Sunday at Noon.

HOT START
The University of Richmond Spiders are off to a 5-0 start for the first time since the 2008-09 campaign during which Richmond began 8-0. The Spiders face off with Marquette who hung 93 points on host FIU on Friday night looking to maintain that perfect record.
LOCK DOWN
Through four games this season Richmond has given up just 54.4 ppg which makes it the second best scoring defense in the Atlantic 10 to this point. The Spiders also rank second in the A-10 with a .235 opponent 3FG percentage while leading the league with a .327 overall opponent field goal percentage.

Lauren Tolson has been on fire from distance to begin her senior season. The Frederick, Md. native is 14-31 from beyond the arc and hit nine vs. EKU and William & Mary combined.
LAST TIME OUT
Sophomore guard Micaela Parson continued her breakout season with a career-high 20 points to lead all scorers in the 63-50 win over Wichita State on an impressive 7-12 shooting, 5-6 from the free throw line and 1-4 from deep while adding three assists and grabbing four rebounds. Parson nearly matched a career-high with 34 minutes of action in guiding the Spiders to their first 5-0 start since the 2008-09 season, which is also the last time the Spiders won a tournament over Thanksgiving weekend.
