02/20/2015 | Women's Track & Field
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Spiders track and field team will head north to Kingston, R.I. this weekend to run in the 2015 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The two-day meet will be hosted by the University of Rhode Island at the Mackal Fieldhouse. Both days of competition are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
"We have several experienced student-athletes and a large group of underclassmen heading to Rhode Island for this weekend's championships," said Director of Track & Field and head women's coach Lori Taylor. "As we look at the events, we feel our athletes are coming into the meet in a great place. We've had some great performances last weekend in New Jersey. Additionally, our upperclassmen have been making a statement the past few weeks and we'll need their experience and leadership for our large group of freshmen. Our athletes are looking forward to the opportunity to compete this weekend and doing so with intensity as we seek a top five team finish along with individual titles."
