Weather Shortens Spring Opener At Wexford

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.- Richmond shot a +44 (620) through two rounds of the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday in South Carolina.
The tournament's third round was canceled due to inclement weather affecting teams' travel plans.
Senior Danny Pizetoski bounced from a tough opening round to shoot -1 (71) in Tuesday's second round. He finished tied for 22nd with a two-round score of +7 (151).
Fellow senior Austin Romeo had the team's second-best score, shooting +12 (73-83=156). Keegan Hoff was only one stroke off Romeo at +13 (75-82=157), and freshman Matthew Lowe was right behind them at +14 (78-80=158). David Germann rounded out the Spiders with a +22 (78-88=166).
The Spiders placed 16th with a team score of +44 (304-316=620) in the two rounds at the 6,931-yard par 72 course.
Richmond will next travel to Florida in March for the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular on March 14-15. The tournament will be played at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey in the Hills, Fla.
