Spiders Promote David Rocco To Director of Player Personnel

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond football program has announced the promotion of David Rocco to the position of Director of Player Personnel. Rocco spent the last three seasons working as an offensive intern and quality control assistant for the Spiders.
“We are excited to add David to our staff as we continue to work towards our goals,” Richmond head coach Danny Rocco said. “David has been a valuable asset over the past several seasons as he made a significant contribution behind the scenes as an offensive intern.”
In his new role, Rocco will assist with the logistics of the operation of the football program and the recruitment process. Rocco will also provide support to the Director of Football Operations.
Prior to coming to Richmond, Rocco was a student assistant at Liberty University working as a video and quality control analyst.
Rocco received an undergraduate degree in Sport Management from Liberty University in 2013. Rocco is working to complete his masters degree from Liberty in Sport Administration.
At Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg, Va., Rocco was a two-year starter, playing both wide receiver and defensive back, helping LCA win the VISAA state championship in 2007.
