SpiderTV: Coach Rocco Wraps 2015 Training Camp

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Head coach Danny Rocco wrapped the 2015 training camp last week and gave the team the day off on Saturday.
The Spiders then went through an intricate special teams practice on Sunday, going over specific game situations.
"We are in a good spot having gone through our entire checklist of things to do and install," Rocco said. "This year is a little different with school starting this week and no game on Saturday; so we have an extra week for our student-athletes to prepare themselves for the flow of the week. They get an opportunity to start balancing their class schedules with practice afterwards, and I kind of like that."
The Spider coaches will continue studying camp cutups and will go over those assessments on the front end of the week, and then move into Maryland preparation at the end of the week.
Richmond opens the regular season on Sept. 5 at noon at Maryland's Byrd Stadium. That game will air on ESPNU.
