
Rusher, Diaz Lead Richmond In Final Round

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. - Sophomore Isabella Rusher and senior Elsa Diaz each shot final round scores of 74 to lead Richmond at the highly competitive Cardinal Cup.
Playing against a field filled with nationally-ranked programs, the Spiders finished 15th overall, but improved the team scores on each successive day. UR shot 326-316-306=948 (+84) as a team.
Rusher led the squad with a final scorecard of 83-76-74=233 (+17), finishing in a tie for 40th place overall.
Diaz shot 84-80-74=238 (+22) as the team's second-best performer.
Sophomores Annie Collom and Sophie DiPetrillo each tied at +24 as they shot identical rounds of 81-80-79=240.
Junior Marie Donnici finished at 81-80-83=244 (+28).
The tournament concluded Richmond's fall slate. The Spiders return to the course in February down in Kiawah for the Edwin Watts Kiawah Island Classic.
