ShawnDre' Jones Named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Richmond senior ShawnDre' Jones was tabbed Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

Jones scored 31 points in the Spiders' season-opening win on Friday night. It was his second career 30-point game and the first 30-point effort in a season opener since 2004.

The Houston, Texas native, Jones shot 9-of-13 from the floor with four threes and nine free throws. He hit the game-winner from the charity stripe after he was fouled with a tie game with under five seconds remaining.

Jones was a Preseason All-Atlantic 10 Third Team pick in October. This marks his first career conference weekly honor.
