
T.J. Cline Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Richmond senior T.J. Cline was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. Cline shared the honor with VCU's JeQuan Lewis.
In Richmond's three-game week, Cline averaged 19.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game, as he led the Spiders to a 2-1 mark including a win over ACC foe Boston College. Cline is the only player in the Atlantic 10 to average at least 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists on the season.
A native of Plano, Texas, Cline was named to the Barclays Center Classic All-Tournament Team after strong performances against No. 23 Maryland and Boston College. He nearly tallied a triple-double with 18 points, nine boards and nine assists against Maryland, including the go-ahead three-pointer with 30 seconds remaining in regulation.
He followed that up with his second career double-double against Boston College, scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds on 10-of-17 shooting.
Cline becomes the second Richmond player to earn Atlantic 10 Weekly honors this season. ShawnDre' Jones was Player of the Week after his 31-point performance against VMI in the season opener.
