Khwan Fore Named Wells Fargo Student-Athlete of the Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Sophomore Khwan Fore was named the Wells Fargo Student-Athlete of the Week after he helped Richmond to a win over UMBC.
A sociology major from Huntsville, Ala., Fore scored 15 points, including 10 in the first half, to lift Richmond to a 78-75 victory.
He also grabbed a career-high nine rebounds and tied his career high with four steals. Four of his nine boards came on the offensive end as he helped set the Spiders up for their 12 second-chance points.
His five second-half points came on big occasions as he hit a driving layup to give UR the lead after a 9-0 run, and then he hit a clutch three-pointer late in the game.
The Spiders resume action after exams on Saturday, Dec. 17 with a 12:30 p.m. tip against Texas Tech.
