Isabella Rusher Wins Nittany Lion Invitational Title

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Richmond sophomore Isabella Rusher shot an even par round of 72 on Sunday to win the Nittany Lion Invitational individual title.
Rusher became the fifth medalist in school history as she finished the tournament with a final scorecard of 70-74-72=216 (E). She was one stroke ahead of Rutgers' Ashleigh Greenham. Rusher's 54-hole score of 216 ranks third all-time in school history.
A native of Salisbury, N.C., Rusher played consistent golf the whole weekend as she led the field with 42 pars.
The Spiders finished in a tie for third overall with a final team score of 298-306-308=912 (+48).
Sophomore Sophie DiPetrillo shot a tournament score of 73-77-78=228 (+12) to place 14th overall. It marked a career-best tournament score and her third career top-20 finish.
Elsa Diaz finished in a tie for 29th with a score of 74-75-84=233 (+17). Annie Collom put together a solid final round as she shot 81-80-76=237 (+31), while Maria Pons Cano's final round of 82 (87-87-82=256) helped Richmond's final team score.
UR's next action will come on the coast of Ireland as the Spiders travel to Waterville, Ireland for intercollegiate play.
