FAIRFAX, Va. - The University of Richmond women's track and field team continues its navigation of the winter schedule when it travels to Fairfax for the Patriot Invite, hosted by fellow Atlantic 10 member George Mason.
The event will get started on Friday night with the Women's 5000m run and will continue through Saturday with 15 Spiders making the trip to compete.
LAST TIME OUT
A one-two finish highlighted the trip in the 3000m run led by Colleen Carney who claimed the top spot by a wide margin with a time 10:16.91, followed by Eryn Mills who galloped to a 10:32.80. The two sophomores were the lone Spiders to compete in the event and made the most of that opportunity.
Junior Amanda Corbosiero clocked in her own outstanding finish in the one mile run, racing to the second place spot with a time of 4:56.75, nearly chasing down the leader in the end. Shelby Cain finished sixth in that same event with a time of 5:05.19.
Richmond will return to the indoor track this weekend when it travels to Lynchburg for the Liberty Kickoff. For all the latest news and coverage on Richmond cross country and track & field, be sure to go to RichmondSpiders.com.
