Janelle Hubbard Signs Professional Contract in Spain

SPAIN – Former University of Richmond guard Janelle Hubbard has signed a professional contract with Unio Esportiva Mataro of Liga Catalana in Spain after completing a historic career in a Spider uniform last spring.
She joins a squad that is the former home of another Spider, Kristina King, who has since moved on from Mataro. Hubbard completed her career with 1,717 points which rank fifth all-time in program history. She also ranks fifth all-time with 177 made three-point field goals.
A three-time all-conference selection, Hubbard averaged 14.1 points during her senior season and 13.8 for her career, scoring in double figures 21 times during that final season. She absolutely goes down in program history as one of the great scorers of all time after appearing in 124 games and making 92 starts. Â
