Spider Women's Cross Country Finishes Eighth at NCAA Southeast Regional

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- The Spider Cross Country team had a strong showing at the NCAA Southeast Regional Friday morning. The women's team finished eighth overall among 37 teams at Panorama Farms.

Amanda Corbosiero led the Spiders finishing 23rd overall with a time of 21:04.1 on the 6K course en route to All-Region honors. Colleen Carney crossed the line at 21:18.3 to finish 30th. Shelby Cain and Peyton McGovern finished two-seconds apart at 21:57.7 and 21:59.6, respectively. Kylie Regan (22:05.7), Ave Grosenheider (22:14.6) and Claire Brown (22:21.7) rounded out the scoring for the Spiders for an eighth place team finish.

On the men's side, Johnny Hogue paced the Spiders finishing 76th overall in a time of 31:07.8 on the 10k course. Will Alpaugh clocked in at 32:39.8 while Seamus Otto turned in a time of 32:51.4 and Noah Yuro finished at 33:52.3.
