T.J. Cline Signs With Israel's Hapoel Halon

T.J. Cline will continue his professional career in Israel after signing with Hapoel Halon of the Israeli Premier League.Â
Cline, the 2017 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, told RichmondSpiders.com that he considered both the club's storied history and stellar current reputation when deciding to sign.
Cline will join Hapoel Halon after a stint with Galatasaray of Turkey's Super League. He became the 17th professional player (now 18) during the Chris Mooney era of Richmond basketball when he signed with Galatasaray in July. At least one Spiders from 11 of the last 12 graduating classes has gone on to play professionally.Â
With 1,647 points, Cline ranks eighth all-time on the Spiders career scoring list despite playing only three seasons for Richmond following his transfer from Niagara.Â
Asked what he had learned so far about being a pro, Cline said "The biggest thing I've learned is you always have to be on top of your game because everyone is gunning for everyone's spot."
