Appearance By Sherod Highlights Monday's Sportsline At Joe's Inn Bon Air
12/03/2017 | Men's Basketball
Sophomore guard Nick Sherod, a local product and former Metro Player of the Year from St. Christopher's, along with Associate Head Coach Rob Jones, will join head men's basketball coach Chris Mooney for Monday's Spider Sportsline at Joe's Inn Bon Air. The live radio program airs from 5:30-6:30 pm on ESPN 950, 102.7FM and Richmond Spiders.com. It is also available on mobile devices and by dialing the AudioNow Call to Listen line at 712-770-9500.Â
Fans, alums and corporate partners are encouraged to attend and enjoy Joe's Inn food and drink menu and specials. Joe's Inn Bon Air is located at 2616 Buford Road in the Bon Air Shopping Center at the corner of Buford Road and Forest Hill Avenue, just a short distance from campus. Plenty of free parking is available.Â
Sherod was 4-6 from three-point range in each of the past two games, recording 14 points against Vermont and 12 points at Wake Forest.  He led the Spiders in scoring for the first time in his career against the Catamounts and is averaging 10 points per game. Wednesday's contest at Old Dominion will not only be a state rivalry game for the Spiders, but a family feud for Sherod. Nick's father, E.J., played for the Monarchs.  Â
Listeners can call-in during the program at 804-521-8501. Emails, texts and tweets can be sent anytime.
