02/27/2017 | Men's Lacrosse
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Despite being off to the best start in program history, the University of Richmond men's lacrosse team is not resting on its laurels.
The Spiders (4-0) are focused on their next opponent on what has proven to be quite a challenging slate. That next game will now be seen by millions up and down the East Coast with the SpiderTV broadcast on Sunday being shown on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic Plus.
Richmond, who earned its highest-ever ranking this week at #12 in the country, will host perennial national power Duke (3-2), who sits at #20 in the latest polls.
Last year, the Spiders upset the Blue Devils in Durham (12-10), dealing Duke it's first non-conference home loss in nearly seven years.
Richmond enters Sunday's showdown with the top-scoring defense in the country allowing just 4.25 goals per game, while the Blue Devils bring an offense scoring nearly 14 goals per game to Robins Stadium.
Faceoff is set for 12 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
