Spiders Finish 12th In Kiawah Island Classic

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Richmond women's golf placed 12th in the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic this week.
UR combined to shoot 899 (+35) as a team over three rounds. It marked the first time that Richmond broke 900 over three rounds since 2013.
Junior Elsa Diaz posted Richmond's best score of 69-77-77=223 (+7). She tied her career-low tournament score and placed 36th overall. Her first round score of 69 (-3) tied the school record for lowest round.
Annie Collom put together the best final round as she finished at 78-74-74=226 (+10). That also marked a new career-best tournament score for Collom as she placed 53rd overall.
Marie Donnici shot 77-73-77=227 (+11) and Isabella Rusher shot 76-78-75=229 (+13). Sophie DiPetrillo finished with a score of 72-84-79=235 (+19).
The Spiders next compete at the River Landing Classic in North Carolina on March 9-10.
