Corbosiero Named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - University of Richmond women's track & field star, Amanda Corbosiero, has been named the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
Corbosiero, a junior, struggled with an injury during the fall cross-country season but has returned in outstanding condition for the indoor season and that showed this weekend. She clocked in a time of 2:44.52 in the 1000m race, finishing fourth overall in the event with a time that currently ranks sixth in the NCAA, tops in the Atlantic 10 by eight seconds and now second in Richmond history.
The New Jersey native will be traveling to the David Hemery Invitational this weekend hosted at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center where she will compete in the mile. That race will take place at 4:45 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
