Joke: What did one penny say to the other?...Together we make perfect sense.
Color: Pinkish Purple
Gift you have ever been given: Besides life, I would say my mom. Quinn is a close second.
Song: Valerie by Amy Winehouse
Motivational Quote: "Success isn't owned. It's leased and rent is due everyday."
Holiday (why)?: Christmas – because it's one of the rare occasions I get to be reunited with family…and eat fantastic food
Â
Other Questions:
What's one thing not a lot of people know about you: I drew my own tattoo
Where's spot in the entire world you would like to visit that you haven't?: Anywhere in Europe
Age you started playing soccer: 4 years old
What has been one of your most exciting memories with your Spider Family so far?: When our team beat JMU last year at home under the lights. The environment truly was electrifying.
Before each game I…: Go over my mental checklist to make sure everything is set up and where it is supposed to be and all of the players have everything they need!
If you were granted one wish, what you want it to be?: To be able to push a button and have Mama Harp magically appear!
If you could have dinner with any one celebrity, who and why?: Serena Williams. She's such as inspiration and idol. She's an athlete that has experienced the highest level of success while overcoming several obstacles, all while maintaining humility and normality. Plus, I think we would be besties!
Starbucks or Dunkin?: Star Star.
Most famous person you've met (where and when): I was fortunate enough to go to school with a handful of big-name professional athletes (Ryan Lochte, Tim Tebow, Joe Haden, Carlos Dunlap, Christian Taylor, Nolan Fontana, Brian Johnson, Dom Dwyer, and several other great athletes). With that being said, I would have to say the biggest celebrity I've met is either Chauncey Billups or John Elway. John Elway's son, Jack, and I went to middle school together at Kent Denver in Englewood CO….Go Broncos
Dream job: Soccer Coach (that's obvious)
Hobbies/Interests: Anything outdoors with my dog and going to the movies (mainly for the popcorn).
Do you have a nickname the team calls you?: Marsha, Marsh, or Coach Harper.
Ideal temperature in your house?: 69 degrees – not too cold and not too warm.
Greatest invention of the last 100 years: The internet.
Apple or Android?: The one involving the fruit.
For me, I love playing soccer because: It's taught me all of the major components that make me who I am today. It's also allowed me to build friendships with people from all over the world that I probably never would have had the opportunity to meet otherwise.
Greatest inspiration: My Mother – Eliza.
Cat, dog, or turtle?: Dog. I'm allergic to cats and turtles aren't as cuddly as dogs.
Biggest fear: Heights.
If you were stranded on island, what 3 things would you chose to have with you?: Food and an endless supply of flares and bug spray.
What's your 10 year plan?: Win a handful of championships while producing strong, confident, and fearless women at the same time.
Why did you come to Richmond?: The environment and community here are awesome. Right when I was told the program values the person over the player, I was sold – instantly.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?: Time travel. Whether it's backwards or forwards, that would be an incredibly educational tool.
Do you prefer to grab your next piece of toilet paper over or under the roll?: Definitely over.
Where do you like sitting on the bus for road trips?: Near the front next to a window. I've gotta be able to help navigate if needed! I also get car-sick rather easily, so I need easy access to a window!
If you somehow inherited Bill Gates's fortune, what would you do with it?: Help my family settle any debt, put some in savings, and give the rest to the non-profit I'm apart of – The IamMore Foundation (shameless plug).
