Spider Sportsline Moves To Thursdays; Celebrates 10th Year At Outback
08/16/2017 | Football
The University of Richmond football radio show will feature a new coach on a new day, but returns at its same popular location and time.
Â
The Spider Sportsline will kick off its tenth consecutive year at Outback Steakhouse, 7917 W. Broad Street, Thursday, August 31 from noon-1pm. The popular lunchtime program features first-year head coach Russ Huesman and special player guests. The show will be held every Thursday during the college football season.Â
Outback began its run as the lunch-time site in 2008, a season that ended with the Spiders winning the National Championship. Outback hosted an over-flow crowd for a post season celebration show, complete with the national championship trophy on display at the restaurant.
The Spider Sportsline is hosted by "Voice of the Spiders" Bob Black, and can be heard live on ESPN 950, RichmondSpiders.com and espnrichmond.com, as well as on mobile devices and tablets. An audio archive of each week's show is available in the Audio Vault at espnrichmond.com.
Fans, alums and corporate partners are encouraged to attend the live show at Outback. Listeners can call-in during the program at 804-622-0950. Emails, texts and tweets can be sent anytime.
