100 Years Of Women’s Basketball: Fanny Crenshaw

RICHMOND, VA. - The University of Richmond women's basketball team is celebrating their 100th season during the 2018-19 campaign. The team has had many big moments throughout the years and we will be taking you back to get to know Richmond women's basketball Hall of Fame members.
Fanny G. Crenshaw – 1979-80 Class

Crenshaw coached for women's basketball from 1919-1955 and earned 166 wins, which is second-best all-time behind current coach Michael Shafer. Her best seasons came in 1952-53 and 1953-54 when she went 7-0 in back-to-back years, earning 16 straight wins from 1952-1954.
