USAFA, Colo. – In the first of two matches played in Colorado this weekend, the University of Richmond men's tennis team was unable to rally after dropping the doubles point, falling 5-2 to host Air Force.

Seniors Caleb Troy and James Aronson won the lone doubles match of the day for the Spiders, defeating Tadhg Collins and Mack Galvin, 6-4, at No. 1.

The Falcons expanded their lead with singles wins on courts 2, 3, 4 and 6, but Troy continued his dominance, scoring with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 1 over Patrick Sklenka. Klein Evans rounded out the final score with a thrilling 5-7, 6-3, 10-7 comeback win over Sean McKendree on court 5.

The Spiders will now face UC Riverside on Saturday, February 24, in their second match at Air Force. Match time is set for 3 p.m. Eastern.
