Men's Golf Completes The Schenkel

STATESBORO, Ga. - The University of Richmond men's golf team competed at the prestigious Schenkel Invitational over weekend and did so up against some of the nations top programs on arguably the toughest course this team will face all season long. The Spiders closed out the weekend with a 14th-place finish, firing a team score of 904.Â
Matthew Lowe continued his strong senior campaign by finishing in a tie for 32nd overall with three-consecutive Even par efforts (72-72-72, 216), marking the first time this season he has shot three rounds of Even par or better in one event. Ben Wanichek checked in at 76th with a +12, 228 with Andrew Sciarretta following closely behind with a +14, 230. Zack Justice (+20, 236) and Will Tamplin, competing in his first collegiate event, (+28, 244) rounded out the lineup.Â
The Spiders will be back in action at the Seahawk Intercollegiate (Mar. 25-26) at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.Â
