A Record-Setting Return: Grant Golden Freshman Highlights

One year after a heart issue cut short his freshman season, Grant Golden returned to the court to average a team-high 15.6 points per game in 2017-18. In addition to winning A-10 Rookie of the Week thrice, Golden earned a spot on the league's All-Rookie Team and was selected Third-Team All-Conference, the first Spiders rookie to make an All-Conference team in 20 years. Golden, a redshirt freshman, finished the season with 498 points, the most by a first-year player in program history.
