Ashley Yencho Named Assistant Director Of Athletics For Marketing

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond Vice President and Director of Athletics, John Hardt has announced the hiring of Ashley Yencho as the new Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing. Yencho has spent the past three years at Stony Brook, most recently serving as the Director of Marketing.

"I am extremely humbled to join the Richmond family and truly admire the level at which the Spiders' Student-Athletes compete in the classroom and on the field," Yencho said. "My goal is to positively influence their experience as well as the University and community."

Yencho spent the last three years at fellow Colonial Athletic Association football member Stony Brook, including the last year as the Director of Marketing. She was in charge of marketing for football, men's basketball and women's basketball for the Seawolves. Under her guidance, Stony Brook had the highest total revenue in program history in both men's basketball and football the past two seasons. She spent two seasons as the assistant director of marketing at Stony Brook prior to her promotion.

Yencho was the marketing and game experience graduate assistant at Arizona State from 2013-15. She handled the marketing and sales effort for the Sun Devil women's basketball program, recording the highest revenue in school history for that sport in back-to-back seasons.

Yencho also spent time at Bradley University in Illinois as an assistant director of marketing in 2012-13. She spent time at the University at Buffalo as an administrative intern and was also a game day intern with the Lehigh Valley Iron Pics of AAA baseball.

Yencho was a women's basketball student-athlete at American University where she earned her bachelor's degree in business administration in 2011. She earned her master's degree in higher and postsecondary education from Arizona State in 2015.
