Football Television Schedule Announced

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond has announced a comprehensive linear and digital broadcast schedule for the 2018 season that includes all home games produced by SpiderTV and broadcast on local linear television on either NBC Sports Washington or NBC Sports Washington Plus. Eight of the Spiders' 11 total games will be shown on linear television with all 11 games available digitally online.
Richmond opens the season Sept. 1 at Virginia and that game will be carried on ACC Network Extra. The Spiders' home opener Sept. 8 against Fordham will be televised on NBC Sports Washington while the Sept. 15 game against Saint Francis will air on NBC Sports Washington Plus.
Richmond's game Sept. 29 against James Madison and Oct. 6 against Delaware will both be career on NBC Sports Washington Plus. The Oct. 20 game at Elon will air on Fox College Sports while the Nov. 3 Homecoming game against Villanova will air on NBC Sports Washington. The Spiders' final home game of the year Nov. 10 against Maine will be on NBC Sports Washington Plus and their regular season final Nov. 17 at William & Mary will be on Cox Communications via YurView.
All Spider home games will be called by the voice of the Spiders, Bob Black, along with former Spider Chris Anderson.
Digital Broadcasts
All 11 regular season contests will be available online and on various mobile platforms. New this season, all home contests (except for the JMU game) will be streamed online on SpiderTV for FREE on www.richmondspiders.com. The Spiders' game against James Madison is part of the CAA's broadcast package and will be available on College Sports Live via CBS Digital.
The Spiders' game Sept. 1 at Virginia will be available on the ESPN App (requires cable authentication) while the game at Stony Brook Sept. 22 will be available on College Sports Live via CBS Digital. Richmond's game Oct. 13 at Albany will only be available online via www.ualbanysports.com while the game Oct. 20 at Elon will be on Fox Sports Go, which requires a cable subscription to view the stream. The Spiders final game of the year at William & Mary Nov. 17 will only be available online at www.tribeathletics.com
