What's New At Robins Stadium In 2018

RICHMOND, Va. -- A new year, a new atmosphere and new Spiders! As part of its commitment to producing well-rounded, high-performing student-athletes, the University of Richmond takes great pride in providing a fun, energetic, family-friendly environment. The 2018 football season at Robins Stadium, will feature new and improved experiences and will begin with the No. 24 Richmond Spiders taking on the Fordham Rams September 8 at 6 p.m.

We have already surpassed last season's ticket sales so the atmosphere at this upcoming season promises to be one for the books. Come and have a blast with 8,000 of your closest friends at Robins Stadium! Second-year head coach Russ Huesman expects to take the Spiders to new heights and rejuvenate the passion in the Richmond community. You can see all of the game by game promotions by clicking HERE!

Here are just a few of the new fan enhancements and fun activities planned for the 2018 football season to Robins Stadium:

2018 is the year of anniversaries! Come to our games October 6 vs. Delaware to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of our Tangerine Bowl Champions and November 10 vs. Maine to celebrate our 10^th anniversary of our Football National Championship. We will be celebrating all year long, but see our former players recognized at each of these games!
The Athletic Department is now recognizing its new Hall of Fame classes in the Fall at a Spider Football Game. Join us for Homecoming on November 3 to celebrate and recognize our newest Hall of Fame Class!
Our Football and Brews events will be bigger and better than ever! We will have lots of new craft beers to try with exciting new food vendors and on October 6 vs. Delaware we will have the first ever LIVE band at a Football and Brews!
Please take note of our new parking and building number references. Parking has not changed the names of the lots have! NEW Gameday Parking Map NEW General Parking Information.
Per fans' request, we will now have a mobile SpiderShop near the East Side of the Stadium. This new mobile SpiderShop will be located on Lessing Plaza near the East side. C'mon out and get your favorite Spider gear!
We have more fun for the kids in the Buffalo Wild Wings Spiderlings Kids Club & Sweet Frog Family Fun Zone! This year we will feature autograph sessions from a different Spider Athletics teams each game, new and interactive activities, inflatables, and exciting themes. Sign your child up HERE.
Fan favorite Varina High School will be back at all of our home games this fall except one, where our other fan favorite LC Bird will perform. By popular demand, the Varina High School Band will be playing pregame throughout our tailgate lots!
We added some exciting new items to our concessions offerings! Buz and Ned's BBQ will be offered for the first time at Robins Stadium and also look for a new Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Philly Sub and our Head Coaches' favorite, the Cowboy Burger! Concessions has also added more healthy fare – new fruit and veggie cups!
Concessions will also be bringing back our popular souvenir cup for fans! Fan can buy a soft drink and receive a souvenir cup. Get $1 refills with that souvenir cup all season!
Planning on bringing your neighbors, your child's scout troop, or youth team? Purchasing group tickets is now easier than ever! Group leaders can simply arrange large orders while no longer having to be the middleman. FEVO, new to UR ticketing, will allow groups to sit together, while paying separately and making sharing the event information with the click of a button. Be on the lookout for more flyovers (Sept. 29 vs. JMU), sky divers (Oct. 6 vs. Delaware), student cash dashes (Nov. 3 vs Villanova) and postgame fireworks (Sept. 8 vs Fordham) to add to the fun.

We will host our 2^nd annual Recyclemania game September 29 vs. JMU. Let's turn the planet and JMU green that day!

For the September 15 Family Weekend Game vs. St. Francis look for a new shuttle route will include a stop near the Heilman Dining Center!
