RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond men's tennis team added a four-star recruit in Daniel Kliebhan (Newtown, Pa.) during the early signing period, announced by head coach Houston Barrick Thursday.
"I am so excited to welcome Daniel to the Spider family," Barrick said. "I knew early on in the recruiting process that Daniel was someone who fit our culture, and would be the type of student-athlete we look for here at Richmond. I expect him to make an immediate impact in both the singles and doubles lineup."
Kliebhan is a two-time Courier Times Player of the Year and he helped the Indians to a fourth-place finish in the District One AAA team playoffs. Kliebhan advanced to the state semifinals before eventually falling to state champion Unionville. He finished 22-4 during his sophomore season and is ranked 89th nationally according to TennisRecruiting.net. Kliebhan is ranked fifth in Pennsylvania and owns a 38-25 record against other prospects. He has earned 12 wins against 4-star recruits and a solid 6-8 record against 5-star recruits.
Kliebhan will join the Spiders for the 2020 fall season. For more information about the Richmond men's tennis team visit RichmondSpiders.com or follow us on twitter at spidermten.
