UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- The Richmond Spiders men's basketball team announced start times for its 16-game home schedule on Tuesday.
The Spiders will open their 2019-20 season on Friday, November 8th at 7:00 PM against Saint Francis (Pa.) of the Northeastern Conference. It's the first of Richmond's seven weeknight games at the Robins Center, each of which will start at 7:00 PM.
Richmond will also play nine home games on Saturdays and Sundays with varying start times due to television broadcast schedules and arena logistics.
The Spiders first weekend home game will be Sunday, November 17th when Richmond hosts CS-Northridge at 4:00 PM as part of the regional rounds of the 2019 Legends Classic.
After playing in the Legends Classic championship round in Brooklyn, N.Y. during Thanksgiving week, Richmond will return to the Robins Center on Saturday, November 30th for a nationally-televised game against Boston College of the ACC. That contest will tip-off at 2:30 PM on NBC Sports Network.
On Sunday, December 8th, Robins Center will host a double-header as the men's basketball team takes on South Alabama at 2:00 PM and the women's basketball team faces Furman at 5:00 PM.
The following Saturday (December 14th), NBCSN will again broadcast from the Robins Center as Richmond faces Charleston at 5:00 PM.
Four of the Spiders Saturday conference home games will tip-off at 6:00 PM. Richmond will host Saint Louis on January 11th, Dayton on January 25th, George Washington on February 1st, and Massachusetts on February 29th.
The tip-off time for the Spiders home game against VCU on February 15th, which will be shown on the CBS Sports Network, is still to be determined. The contest will be the final game of the 2020 Lumber Liquidators Capital City Classic.
Single-game tickets to Spiders home games will go on sale in October. Fans interested in season tickets can visit http://bit.ly/Spiderstix or call 1-877-SPIDER1.
Prior to the official start of the season, Richmond will host Randolph-Macon in a exhibition game on November 3rd at 6:00 PM. Admission to that game will be free and seating will be open.
