Women’s Lacrosse Announces 2020 Signing Class

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond women's lacrosse head coach Allison Kwolek announced the signings of 12 high school standouts to national letters of intent Tuesday. The 12 new Spiders will join the program in the fall of 2020 and will play their first seasons in 2021 for the two-time defending Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament Champion Spiders.
"We are thrilled about our 2020 signing class," Kwolek said. "This group is stacked with great athletes, fierce competitors and amazing young women. We are excited to see the impact they will have on the program during their careers."
Becca Sturtz • M • Sparks, Md./Roland Park Country School
Three-year letterwinner at Roland Park Country School, one of the top programs in Maryland … Named IAAM All-Conference … Ranked No. 14 in the state of Maryland by the Baltimore Sun in 2019 and No. 10 by MaxPreps in 2018 … Played club for TCL 2020 Red … Four-year letterwinner at Roland Park in soccer … 2019 team captain … Led team to the IAAM Conference championship in 2018.
Nicole Burney • G • Yardley, Pa./Notre Dame High School

Four-year letterwinner and starter at Westwood High School – one of the top programs in the state of Massachusetts … Scored 85 goals, handed out 43 assists and notched 72 draw controls in her career … Led team to three-straight Tri-Valley League Championships … Three-time All-Star selection … Participated in the Under Armour All-American Underclass Tournament for New England for three-straight years (2017-19) … Competed in the US High School Lacrosse National Tournament for three years playing for Massachusetts/Rhode Island Team 1 in both 2018 and 2019 while playing for Team 2 in 2017 … Helped the Massachusetts/Rhode Island Team to the US High School Lacrosse National Tournament Championship in 2019 … Part of the 2018 Nike Elite 120 Championship … Also lettered in basketball, named team captain in 2019.
