Student-Athletes Honored At Annual Scholar Athlete Breakfast

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond athletics department hosted the annual Scholar Athlete Breakfast Monday at the Tyler-Haynes Room on campus.
Sixty-six student-athletes were honored for their academic accomplishments in the 2018-19 academic year, with men's cross country student-athlete Miles Clikeman (North Chesterfield, Pa.) winning to the top award, being named the Student-Athlete of the Year. Clikeman is majoring in mathematics and computer science with a minor in physics from the School of the Arts & Sciences.
The Athletics Department also honored three student-athletes that performed at the top of their respective schools of study. Men's lacrosse senior student-athlete Blake Goodman (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was honored with the Robins School of Business Award, field hockey senior student-athlete Elise Zwicklbauer (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) was honored with the School of Arts & Sciences award while senior women's cross country/track student-athlete Erika Echternach (Lititz, Pa.) was honor with the Jepson School of Leadership Studies award.
The men's golf team took home the Men's Team Academic Award while the women's golf team won its second-straight Women's Team Academic Award.
