Hinds-Clarke Earns A-10 All-Conference Third Team Honors
03/05/2020 | Women's Basketball
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Senior forward Jaide Hinds-Clarke was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference third team, announced Thursday by the league office.

I'm so proud of Jaide and the improvement she has shown over the course of this season," head coach Aaron Roussell said. "She has put in an incredible amount of work and greatly expanded her game."

Hinds-Clarke is the first Spider to be named All-Conference since Micaela Parson was named to the A-10 All-Conference Third Team in 2018. Hinds-Clarke was a preseason All-Conference selection and earns her first-ever A-10 All-Conference nod.

Hinds-Clarke leads the team in scoring at 11.5 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game. She has three double-doubles this season and is second in the A-10 with 59 steals. Hinds-Clarke was named A-10 Player of the Week on Feb. 24 after back-to-back 20-point performances on the road at George Mason and at St. Bonaventure. She scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds in a win at St. Bonaventure.

The Westwood, N.J. native, scored in double-figures 17 times and has hit a career-high 22 three-pointers after not hitting a three-pointer in her previous three seasons. Hinds-Clarke is shooting a career-high 42.3 percent from the field and 64.3 percent from the free throw line.

Richmond will face top-seeded Dayton in the A-10 Quarterfinals on Friday, March 6, at 11 a.m.
