06/24/2020 | Men's Lacrosse
RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond placed five student-athletes on the Southern Conference spring Academic All-Conference Team, the league office announced Wednesday. This marks the third-straight year the Spiders have had at least five members on the SoCon All-Academic team and five-straight years with three or more.
Earning the nod for the Spiders included junior Tim Adams (Chatham, N.J./Business Administration), senior Jack Cook (Mechanicsville, Va./Business Administration), junior Brett Randall (Brighton, N.Y./Mathematical Economics), junior Jason Reynolds (Chester Springs, Pa./Business Administration) and junior Jack Rusbuldt (Richmond, Va./Chemistry). This marks the second-straight year that Adams, Cook, Randall and Reynolds have picked up Academic All-SoCon accolades while Rusbuldt earns his first-ever league honor.
To be eligible for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average at the conclusion of the spring semester and were required to compete in at least 50% of their teams' competitions. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshmen and first-year transfers ineligible for inclusion. The SoCon Academic Honor Roll will be announced Thursday.
