
Dunbar Advances in ITA Regionals

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The University of Richmond women's tennis team wrapped up day two of ITA Regionals at Liberty, and Emily Dunbar won her singles match in the round of 32 to advance to tomorrow's round of 16.
Dunbar defeated James Madison's Hope Moulin 7-5, 4-6, 6-4. She will face Liberty's Maria Juliana Parra Romero tomorrow at 9:30 for a chance to advance to the ITA Atlantic Super Regional which will be held at Virginia Oct. 22-25.
In the doubles round of 16, the team of Helene Heiberg/Marta Buendia lost to Virginia's Nicole Kiefer/Amber Odell by a score of 6-4. In singles back draw, Carly Cohen defeated Longwood's Nina Hederich 6-0, 6-2, and Sara Salemyr dropped her match to Marshall's Madi Ballow 6-3, 6-2.
