RICHMOND, Va. -- The Richmond women's golf team announced its spring schedule on Monday. The Spiders are scheduled to compete in at least six events during the spring, culminating with the 2021 Patriot League Championship.Â
Richmond will open its spring season by hosting William & Mary at Independence Golf Club in MIdlothian, Va. on February 13.
The Spiders will start a busy March by facing Virginia at Spring Creek Golf Club in Zions Crossroads, Va. on March 5. Three days later, Richmond will return to Wallace, N.C. to compete in UNCW's River Landing Classic, the site of Richmond's final competition before the 2019-20 season was shortened due to COVID-19. The Spiders will wrap up the month at the Kingsmill Spring Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va. on March 28-29.Â
On April 6-7, Richmond will join seven other teams for the Cavalier Match-Play at Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville, Va. as the Spiders continue their preparations for the 2021 Patriot League Championship, the dates and location of which are still to be determined.Â
This spring will mark the start of Calle Barlow's second season as the Spiders coach. Richmond's roster features two student-athletes currently in the Spiders top 10 in career scoring average: junior Naomi Mitchell (seventh at 78.09) and senior Lizzie Reedy (first at 76.58).Â
