VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — 18 holes didn't change much on the team leaderboard at the Evie Odom Invitational Friday, as Richmond ended Round 2 in 11th place, the same standing for the Spiders at the end of Thursday's Round 1. Richmond's team score of 299 (+19) Friday was a three-shot improvement from the opening round, but UR (+41 for the tournament) remained sandwiched between 10th-place Furman (+31) and 12th-place Old Dominion (+49).
Freshman Addie Doroh led the Spiders for a second straight day, shooting a 4-over 74. Doroh is tied for 26th in the field of 72 at 6-over par (146). Three other Spiders shot 5-over 75s Friday: junior Maya Beasley and seniors Hannah Lydic and Olivia Wilkie.
With only Saturday's third and final round remaining, Beasley (8-over 148) is tied for 38th in the field, Lydic (11-over 151) is tied for 51st, and Wilkie (18-over 158) is tied for 67th.
Wilkie is one shot behind sophomore Katie Magner, who is in 66th place at 17-over par (157) after shooting 76 (+6) Friday.
Richmond will start Saturday's Round 3 on the 10th tee at 9:10 AM.
