Richmond Athletics and adidas Announce Partnership

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond athletics department and adidas have announced a five-year strategic partnership in which the Portland, Ore.,-based company will be the official athletic footwear, apparel and accessory brand for the Spiders beginning July 1, 2021 and running through June of 2026.
"We are excited to announce our new partnership with adidas," said Vice President and Director of Athletics John P. Hardt said. "Partnering with two leading companies like adidas and ASB Sports, who have both made such a strong commitment to elevating the Richmond brand, will enhance our Spider student-athlete experience. This unique partnership will provide unparalleled support for all of our student-athletes in each of our varsity programs at Richmond."
adidas welcomes Richmond as the newest member of the family. The brand is the official uniform, footwear and apparel provider for more than 100 collegiate programs including Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State, Nebraska, North Carolina State and Texas A&M.
The deal includes a trend-setting hybrid model that allows varsity athletic teams the opportunity to take advantage of a direct vendor in ASB Sports. Richmond, adidas and ASB Sports will collaborate to form a synergic relationship rooted in high-quality customer service.
