RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond announced that all sports played this spring, including Spider Football, will be limited to Richmond student-athlete and coach guests only due to University and Commonwealth of Virginia COVID-19 protocols. No visiting team guests/fans will be permitted to attend games this spring.
The limited fans in attendance will be required to wear face coverings at all times and remain physically distant at the facility. Additionally, tailgating will not be permitted on campus before or after any Spider events this spring.
This policy impacts all Spider sports competing on campus this spring including football, baseball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, soccer, field hockey, men's tennis and women's tennis. In order to maintain the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and campus community, the athletics department requests that fans not attempt to view or attend the games unless they are an invited guest of a student-athlete or coach.
