Meet the 2021 Spiders - Catchers

RICHMOND, Va. – One of the most physically demanding positions on the diamond, meet the backstops that will handle the Spider pitching staff. The staff returns two catchers who saw time behind the plate last year, adding a freshman and returning another who did not make an appearance during his freshman season.

Jordan Dissin (Pottstown, Pa.)
Zach Lass (Mechanicsville, Va.)
Jason Neff (West Palm Beach, Fla.)

Drew Blakely (Galesburg, Mich.)
- Team captain in 2021
- Played in 16 games, starting in 15
- Hit for a .296 average and was second on the team with 16 RBI
- Began his Spider career going 4-for-5 with two RBI at No. 4 Georgia
Jordan Dissin (Pottstown, Pa.)
- Earned three varsity letters at Malvern Prep
- 2018 All-Inter-ac honoree
- Two-time Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association state champion
Zach Lass (Mechanicsville, Va.)
- Played in nine games with five starts, three behind the plate
- Started a game in left field and another as a designated hitter
- First career hit drove in a run at No. 4 Georgia
Jason Neff (West Palm Beach, Fla.)
- Did not appear in a game in his first season at Richmond
- Two-time varsity letterwinner under coach Tony Gullo
- Led his Palm Beach Central to a 21-3 record and a state semi-final appearance as a senor
