Kobie Turner Named Preseason All-America By Hero Sports

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond redshirt junior Kobie Turner (Clifton, Va.) has been named Preseason All-America By Hero Sports FCS. Turner is four defensive lineman in the country to earn the honors on the 29-member team and one of five from Colonial Athletic Association Football.
Turner was an All-CAA selection 2019 in his first season as a starter for the Spiders. He led the team with 14.5 tackles for loss while posting 7.0 sacks from his interior line position. He ranked first among all CAA defensive lineman in tackles with a career-high 71.
Turner, a team captain this season, and the Spiders open the 2021 spring season March 6 hosting William & Mary at Robins Stadium. Richmond is scheduled for a six-game CAA schedule this spring, playing home-and-home series against William & Mary, James Madison and Elon.
