WALLACE, N.C. -- Paced by a career day from junior Naomi Mitchell, the Richmond Spiders women's golf team is tied for eighth at the 13-team River Landing Classic midway through the 54-hole event. Sophomore Muskan Uppal is tied for 12th in the 72-person field, having fought back to even par with a birdies in two of her final four holes on Monday following a 74 (+2) in Round 1.Â
Freshman Rory Weinfurther and Sophomore Vicky Zhu are tied for 40th at 7-over par, while junior Emily Ward is tied for 58th at 12-over. Competing as individual, senior Ally Steffen is at 19-over par, tied for 68th.Â
