What’s Happening At Robins Stadium This Fall
09/02/2021 | Football
RICHMOND, Va. – The 2021 University of Richmond football season is only two days away and lots of fun is in store for fans this fall at Robins Stadium. Our coaches and student-athletes are excited to welcome our fans back out in full force beginning this Saturday against Howard at 2 p.m.
The Spider football team enters the season with high aspirations, already ranked No. 22 in the country. Richmond returns every starter on offense, defense and special teams from the spring season that saw the Spiders finish with a 3-1 record and ranked 14th in the nation. The Spiders were picked fourth in the super competitive Colonial Athletic Association preseason poll and will be looking to return to the postseason this fall.
New this season at home at Robins Stadium will see all six home games begin at 2 p.m. taking advantage of a uniform start time that will allow for all home games to be broadcast regionally on NBC Sports Washington or NBC Sports Washington Plus.
Additionally this fall, we anticipate our new state-of-the-art full LED video board will be installed at some point during the year for fans to enjoy. The new board will encompass video throughout the entire board, measuring 60 feet wide and almost 28 feet tall and overlapping on the current video board footprint. The video board will run 1800x828 pixels and with a pixel pitch of 10-milimeter pixel spacing on full LED.

- Chairbacks – We are pleased to introduce these comfortable, cushioned seats as a new add-on option for our Spider season ticket holders. Season ticket holders were able to lock-in this feature during the renewal process as well as throughout the season and don't have to worry about bringing it with them each game…it will be placed on their seat for them!
- North End Zone Patio – The north end zone patio under the videoboard is a new and improved space for you and your friends/family to enjoy a group outing. More open and accommodating for youth teams, birthday parties, and celebrations the space will have field-level bleachers and picnic tables with umbrellas right behind the end zone! See the Spiders enter the field right next to you! There will also be a space to entertain organizations, corporate outings, or just a few friends with food and drink.
- Concessions
- Newly implemented during the season this year is in-seat ordering via the Campus GrubHub app to make your concessions experience safer and more convenient! There will be information on downloading the app in our pre game email and at the stadium so you can order food right from your seat and pick up at the concessions stand when it is ready!
