NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference has announced the 2021-22 women's basketball conference slate, which features 16 games for the University of Richmond women's basketball team. Out of eight home conference matchups for the Spiders, four of the games are on a Saturday, with three falling on a Wednesday and one on a Sunday.
"I really feel that this is going to be a monster year for A-10 women's basketball. There is a lot of talent returning, and the quality of the league from top to bottom is higher than it has been in at least a decade," said head coach Aaron Roussell, who is in his third season at the helm of the program. "This schedule will challenge us, but I am thrilled to see many of the top teams in our league come into the Robins Center this season. Our fans will get to see some of the best basketball in the country, and I know our players will be up for the task."

The Spiders travel to in-state foe George Mason Jan. 19 before travelling to La Salle Jan. 23 in the first of two meetings between the two teams. The Spiders return home Jan. 26 to face Dayton before traveling to Saint Louis Jan. 29.
Richmond kicks off the month of February when the Spiders welcome VCU to the Robins Center Feb. 2 in the first meeting of the season between the two rivals. After that, Richmond travels to St. Bonaventure on Feb. 5 before taking an eight-day break.
The Spiders come out of the break with the back half of their home-and-home series with La Salle and Duquesne. Richmond hosts La Salle Feb. 13 before traveling to Duquesne Feb. 16.
Two of Richmond's last three games are at home featuring back-to-back conference games at the Robins Center for the first time all season. The Spiders host Rhode Island Feb. 19 and Fordham Feb. 23 before closing out the regular season conference slate across town at VCU Feb. 26.
