Richmond, Va. — University of Richmond sophomores Madison Trippett and Laurel Kurtz led the Spiders at the 2022 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships held at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville Saturday, taking home All-Conference honors. Trippett took ninth with a 17:25.5 clocking over the 5K course, while Kurtz ran a 17:34.3 for 12th.

Overall, the Spiders finished sixth overall with 119 points. Behind Trippett and Kurtz, Elizabeth Stockman came in at 20th with a time of 17:58.2. Anna George was next with a 18:15.8 for 35th, then Brooke Reif (18:25.4, 45th) and Isabel Blaylock (18:25.8, 46th) followed.

On the men's side, Richmond finished 11th with 273 points. Peter Borger clocked a 25:07.3 for 31st to lead the Spiders, while Stuart Terrill followed with a 25:28.8 for 50th. Henry Haase was the next to cross at 25:36.5 for 57th, then Jordan Bendura (25:56.8, 75th) Patrick Sutphin (77th, 25:57.8) followed.
